An album that I have listened to so many times since it came out has been the Better Oblivion Community Center record. Phoebe and Conor wrote some good songs, had a bit of fun with it, and came up with a great concept for this band & record. Truly an inspiring piece of work.

On this day in touring history. In 2007 I was in between the Listener Tour of Homes and whatever was gonna come next for Listener and my music "career". I embarked on a tour called the "Introducing Talk Music to America" tour.

Art that inspires me: I don't know if y'all have ever needed an album for driving at night out on the highways and dark roads...but this is the one. I love this record, and It's a normal go-to for me. Have you ever heard it? AA Bondy is a gem, and this one is a snapshot in time.

On this day in touring history. I don't know exactly how to convey to you what it was like to tour the world and play hundreds of house shows, but it was like playing a house show every night for a few years. On Feb 24th 2006 I played in Lawrence, KS at the 8th Street Tap Room.
