Took delivery of 13Kg of old 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐬 tapes from defunct Southern Records. I had them couriered down from Sunderland or they became landfill. Most intriguing? A 2" multi-track featuring Dreg (Dub)! Impossible to play so heading to the loft. Landfill can wait a few years.

46 years ago this afternoon, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐬 played their first ever gig at school Speech Day. 300 pupils went a bit nuts and afterwards the Headmaster said that no band would ever play on that stage again.
