I wonder which garden centre or home depot or indeed, sex shop, Trump's team will book to deny any election loss outside of this coming November? I suspect the Four Seasons store will welcome the repeat booking.

In a comics panel perspective is a powerful tool. Using it in specific ways leads the eye to where you need it to go, seeing what you need it to see along the way. I think it's the most useful compositional and storytelling tool I ever learned.

layouts (figuring out storytelling and composition) is my favourite bit of the process. Music on, immersed in the visuals as though they are fully real in my head. It comes to life and so do I. The finished art is the dog work that has to follow and usually a compromise.

Geoff and I are plotted well into the twenties on Redcoat and I don't think, issue to issue, anyone can predict where it's going. Issue 7 is so different to any previous issue as is 8, 9, and all after. So versatile conceptually and emotionally...

Redcoat issue 7 might be one of the best script I've ever had to work with. The emotions are so well written. It's a powerful one this issue.

Up in Scotland for the week and based in Glasgow West End. My son and I popped in to City Centre Comics off Byres Rd a couple of times for our weeks's reading material. Nice to see them stocking the GM titles!

I'm sure it was never intended to be this way but from a purely outsiders perspective on current American politics (and fuck knows ours have been bad enough in recent years), it really comes over like the republicans are the bad guys with Ming the Merciless as leader.

Jose has always been by far my biggest influence and his work remains constantly inspirational to me. He is a true legend and one of most talented people to ever grace comics. He is also a master of storytelling, expression and body language; he's still the artist I aspire to be.

Not sure how those that did them managed to so poorly adapt the Discworld books to screen; the sky ones seem like bad pantos and the less said about the Watch series, the better. It's not difficult; you treat it like you're adapting Dickens. The magic is incidental. It just IS.

Installing Cubase pro on my music rig tonight. Never used it (Logic Pro Man) but it was half price so thought I'd get it and have a fiddle. Well, a piano and maybe a whole string section. Possibly some brass.

issue 6 of Redcoat will be a couple of weeks late to the shelf. My fault as we expanded the issue to 28 pages. but it fell in a month where I had 2 weeks of holiday pre-booked and Andrew a week. should be caught up very soon. Big issue though and 7 is possibly the best yet.
