John, John.🔧📻📡🇺🇸 and I have been burning the midnight oil adjusting his C-Band dish tracking controller for 54w and have got data for the very first time at this time of day!!! Right now, 54w is at the bottom of its 'orbit' and we found the issue with the tracking, so here we are!

I love seeing these visualizations when they are released after big quakes. As my bad luck would have it, my seismograph was offline as I am testing different vault locations at the new house. I hope to get it placed today. Pffh, yeah, right...

Well, that's slightly unexpected and annoying all at once. The Raspberry Shake is shutting down on thermal in the new seismic vault. I rebooted this morning and covered the lid with a lot more rock. The sun will be over that side of the house in about 3 hours, so we will soon tell.

Quick update on the Raspberry Shake seismic vault. I had some issues with getting the CPU temp out of the Pi-powered #seismograph, but got it sorted. Tested for two days with the unit on the garage floor. It's now in its new Idaho vault. Hope that we can make it through the winter

Was on the roof of the house tracking down some of my leaks and saw the #DiscoveryDish and #Tempest weather station from a new angle. Thought I would share it. The DD is providing L-Band ACARS and STDC data from 98w #Inmarsat 4F3. The camera is a test for winter snowfall

There seems to be a lot of interest in the goings-on in the skies over this part of the world today. Just a reminder that NOT a single aircraft on my map is ADSB. They are either decoded ACARS position plots from various modes or ADSC reports from C-Band satcom.
