Was at VAMuseums tonight for the opening of Enthoven Unboxed - a collection of performance memorabilia over a 100 years. From theatrical costumes to set designs to a portrait of Ira Aldridge. V&A’s Theatre Museum was where I began research for Red Velvet. Well worth a visit. 🌹

DHA celebrated the re-opening of the Theatre and Performance Galleries at the Victoria and Albert Museum with a new high-tech lighting scheme for 2024 🎉 #LightingDesign #MuseumLighting #ExhibitionLighting #GalleryLighting #Design

DHA had lit the original galleries in 2009 and were delighted to be asked back. Meantime, DHA has also worked closely on their landmark exhibitions including David Bowie Is…, Hollywood Costume, Kylie, and The Supremes 🎤

The fantastic permanent collection ranges from Shakespeare’s First Folio to Kylie Minogue’s Showgirl-tour dressing room and the Royal Box from Glasgow Theatre Royal. The gallery now includes new acquisitions from BBC shows His Dark Materials and Peaky Blinders.

They also lit Enthoven Unboxed exhibition which marks the centenary of Gabrielle Enthoven donating her collection. It highlights the diverse collecting remit & includes Claire Foy’s wedding dress from the Crown, a set model of Stormzy’s Glastonbury set & Elton John’s glasses 🤩
