The moment dieters realize scale weight doesn’t necessarily reflect improvements in body composition, the game changes. The moment dieters shift the focus from losing weight to building better habits & conditioning automatic countermeasures against bad habits — they win the game.

Self-improvement of the body doesn’t last long when it involves self-destruction of the mind. Improve both, keep the results.

I can't overemphasize how bizarre and embarrassing this is for the head of our FDA to be repeating podcaster talking points about seed oils and flagrantly demonstrating that he doesn't know anything about evidence analysis or human nutrient requirements. Seed oils are there to

Why prioritizing eating high quality protein really is the right choice if you care about your health, body composition and satiation (not being hungry all the time). Alan Aragon on the Huberman Lab podcast out now (on all platforms & here on @x).

Yes, doing your cardio fasted burns more body fat. But, if you offset the calories burned, you’ll end up in exactly the same place as somebody who eats before cardio. Put simply, calories in versus calories out matters more than whether you train fasted (w/respect to BF loss).

I read Amber O’Hearn’s (L. Amber O'Hearn) article on why humans are “facultative carnivores”, which she posted in response to my commentary. It's well-written, but the arguments within don't hold up under scrutiny. I can't reply or quote because she blocked me. Long post, so I

Aging well requires being aware of your physical and mental weaknesses, and proactively strengthening them. Aging well does not mean getting better at tiptoeing around how fragile you’re becoming. The older you get, the harder (and smarter) you need to fight.

Yet another study showing similar whole muscle hypertrophy when training with heavy vs light loads. The evidence is overwhelming. May be a benefit to varying rep ranges for optimal results; for the gen pop likely doesn't make a meaningful difference 💪 biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
