Troubleshooting an HP 8350B RF plug-in that hangs the instrument on startup. May be a poor contact. It’s filthy and during a thorough clean I spotted a couple of crusty caps on the ALC board. Virtually every plug-in I’ve worked on has the same issue.

Time for some new caps in the HP8672A PSU - one wet tantalum(?) is leaking and crusty but think I’ve caught it in time before it did any real damage. And some of the silver micas are looking a bit cooked (not seen this before).

Think I caught this one just in time.
