Can you imagine this scenic bike path through the dunes of Westduinpark in The Hague 🇳🇱 has existed for over 100 years? Only during WWII, as part of the Atlantikwall, was it unusable. This proves to me that investing in quality cycling infrastructure pays off for generations.

It is awesome to see a design I helped with getting put down on the ground! This takes a step in shifting the paradigm towards a Safe System. This has calming elements as well as a two-way separated bike path (though will be black asphalt). Hopefully there will be more to come!

Summer Camp 54th Tour de Schalkwijk 🇳🇱 is an annual cycling event. Hundred riders 🚵‍♀️ aged 9-12, split into 10 teams, compete in time trials (Sundays), a points race (Wednesday), and morning stages. Afternoons and evenings include games, swimming, a fox hunt, and a farm sleepover.

It’s always a great day for a bike ride, one of my son’s favorite activities, and a great way to get to the store and back for a few things 😃
