1. That all mankind is innately sinful and incapable of saving ourselves 2. That Jesus Christ is our one and only Saviour 3. That He is God Himself incarnate 4. That God is Triune, Father, Son and Holy Spirit 5. That it is God’s grace that saves 6. That Scripture is inerrant

"The Verse of stoning and of breastfeeding an adult ten times was revealed, and the paper was with me under my pillow. When the Messenger of Allah died, we were preoccupied with his death, and a tamed goat came in and ate it" Sunan ibn majah 1944

Cannibalism is also found in over 1500 species; rape, killing, infanticide, and numerous other horrors are also very widespread. To be found in nature =/= to be morally permissible. That's of course besides the fact that not being found among animals =/= unnatural.

Interesting, Mormons on this platform seem determined to convince me that they are both further from the Truth, deeper in irrationality and more obnoxious and arrogant than I previously thought.

Apparently Fr. Holz here must be sinless whenever he preaches from the pulpit. Who knew sinlessness was a prerequisite for exegesis?

St Ambrose of Milan denied the Emperor communion publicly for political actions the Church opposed; political office does not place one above reproach, if anything it makes one more accountable. Your duty is to Christ first.

This Luigi fellow blocked me for these comments, doesn’t this fellow claim to be some champion Orthodox apologist? I don’t think what I said was even all that provocative.

The objection of the Reformers is in requiring affirmation of this belief as a prerequisite for faith. Scripture makes no comment on the sinlessness of Mary, nor on the perpetual virginity, so neither are necessary to affirm or deny for the sake of receiving the fullness of faith

I'd like to invite any Roman Catholics on here with an interest in patristics to provide the full text of the sermon this quote is purportedly from. The copy of Augustine's sermons I have has nothing of the sort in Sermon 120/CXX. Is it a different numbering? Or a fabrication?

Born in Roman Cappadocia to Greek-speaking Roman Christian parents, and was martyred for refusing to renounce Christ as His God and saviour. It’s okay if you want to try and relate to similarities, but rewriting history/misrepresenting history isn’t okay.
