We are calling for transparency on what is being offered in #FreeSchoolMeal parcels to ensure children are able to eat well and learn from home in these unprecedented times.

What also needs to be included in the school food shambles is the caterers who have also decided not to provide hot meals for young people in schools.

For those of us working in schools and in our communities, the sad reality is we’re not even surprised anymore. Schools get a hard time and people don’t know the sheer work that happens behind the scenes to make up for this shortfall. Here is to our unsung heroes.
