'Lawyers advancing an effort to charge oil companies with homicide over climate-related deaths are ramping up their campaign to hold fossil fuel producers criminally accountable . . . Local DA offices are also starting to pay attention.'

Damn straight.

This bill would invest up to $234 billion over 10 years to build more public housing, make it more energy efficient, and create unionized jobs.

Now imagine if we had a progressive majority in Congress clearing the path to making this bill into law.

'What it means is that you change your focus from electoral politics to building labor power through worker organizing. And by organizing workers, you naturally grow your own political power in a way that writing checks to politicians never does.'

The fossil fuel industry has moved from climate denial to solutions denial.

Instead of casting doubt on the science, they’re spreading lies about clean energy and saying it’s a β€œfantasy” to phase out fossil fuels.

It’s the same strategy of doubt and delay. Don’t fall for it.

Fink is right: retirement is getting harder & capital markets have an important role to play, but his missed the mark on causes. is one of the biggest drivers of financial instability and BlackRock's decisions are making it worse.

According to Princeton University's Net Zero America study, we need to approach phase out of fossil gas in building end uses by 2050 to hit climate goals. Since we have no national strategy to do so, cities (and some states) are trying to do their part. Berkeley was stopped by a lawsuit.

Jerome Powell & the @FederalReserve say they don't have a responsibility to help mitigate climate change.

But if they want to do their jobs, they inevitably have to β€” and the longer they wait, they harder it will get.

Amazon and Space X are fighting in court to have the NLRB declared unconstitutional.

This means the two richest men on earth want to dismantle the agency that holds them accountable for union busting.

Nothing terrifies them more than worker power.

β€œIt’s important to begin to hold [insurers] accountable for how they’ve played it both ways in terms of climate change,” said tomswan of CCAG

INCREDIBLE. This bill is a warning shot across the bow to insurers like AIG.

Moving to a 32-hour workweek with no loss in pay is not radical. What's radical is that over $50 trillion in wealth has been redistributed from the bottom 90% to the top 1% over the past 50 years. It's time that the financial gains from new technology benefit workers, not the 1%.

On a planet that just saw a year where every month was at least 1.5C above avg, we need to account for every ounce of emissions and a timeline to decommission every pipeline, coal mine, and drill site.

If we don't get it, shut it down.

Fact: The United States Senate passed legislation that would make a 30-hour workweek the standard in America in April of 1933. It was not signed into law, but a few years later FDR signed a 40-hour workweek into law where it has remained stuck for 84 years.
