HB 1596, prohibiting deceptive deepfakes during election season, was signed into law today. I am proud to have worked with Angela Brennan for NH and Connie Lane to get it across the finish line. With HB 1688 and HB 1432, it completes the package of 3 AI bills enacted in 2024.

I cosponsored this bill and worked with Angela Brennan for NH and Connie Lane to get it through the House, Senate, and House once again.

With ZoeManos4NH and Chris Sununu at the signing ceremony for HB 1432, providing for criminal and civil actions for malicious deepfakes.
