Sled paid a visit.

Trying something different with a ground hunt on a new place. Sat here opening day and saw 7 bucks. No camera nearby so it's a blind hunt in a saddle between ridges.

That was closer than expected 🤣

Didn't take long for Mr Crabs' vacancy to get filled.

There's a doe and fawns at the gate this morning. Here comes this tall and heavy buck, chasing the doe but he has a nasty limp. I sneak in, on the edge. Doe comes at 5 yards and he's at 8. 5 min stare down. He comes out at 20 tart to try to draw, he blows and quickly hobbles off

They thought I forgot about them. Nope.

Tonight's setup. About 60 yards from where I was this morning with some actual cover and great visibility.

We don't tend to get a lot of fall foliage colors here. Thoroughly enjoyed the sun rising to illuminate this view.

Ready for peroxide.
