It’s that time. The year has gone fast but when I saw kinder graduation photos at Westwood, it got real! Grateful for all the teachers that make this picture possible. Mrs. Williams is a pro at posing these little guys.

Cline Elementary buzzing with great learning opportunities this morning. Robots, food chains, place value small groups and so much more. We are blessed by the staff at this campus and their dedication to student growth.

Will be singing Under the Sea all weekend after enjoying the JH Musical, Little Mermaid. Awesome show, talented students, great directors- proud to be a Mustang. Go see it this weekend.

Because I know Carla Burris , the chair of the Texas HOSA Leadership State Conference, I got the honor of welcoming 3,500 students and sponsors at the opening ceremonies. This is the future of Tx medicine!

Got the pleasure of taking my new friend Alex Morrison a 3rd grader at Cline behind the scenes at a FHS baseball game as a result of an auction item at Clinefest. So proud of Coach B and our kids for caring for him and getting the feel of being a Mustang.

Last Friday I was once again reminded of the power of connections and of the work of our amazing staff and the influence of the FISD Education Foundation on Goal #6 work in FISD. We took our 2nd field trip to WW, Bales, FJH, and FHS. Great things happen every day in FISD.

Our District Leadership Team’s learning session today was a pottery painting lesson with our HS Art teachers and students. Super fun to change pace and create together.

Happy birthday to Peter Luke. There is something that comes alive in you as a grandparent that you did not know you had inside. Love this little two year old dude.

Today we loaded our Mustang Seniors (Citizens) on a bus and took them on a field trip to the old Cline kitchen to eat a snack and watch the students making some chicken soup, then to new Cline to see the facilities, and lastly a drive by if the new high school facilities.

Last night our Board celebrated many outstanding students and coaches/ sponsors, but started with a great gift from our culinary students and staff- an outstanding dinner! Kids and staff do great things in FISD.
