When elections came around, they both won — and were overjoyed.

But then the problems started.

One realized he was being followed regularly and had his car vandalized.

The other was arrested in 2021 for extremism.

Now Navalny’s Tomsk office has been shuttered, Ksenia Fadeyeva is serving a 9+ year jail sentence and Alexei is dead.

An obituary for a movement that inspired a generation in some of Russia’s furthest flung, and often hopeless, cities.
