Oh, #Tannat ... why do we love thee? 1. Super high tannins and Procyanidins. 2. It grows VERY well in #Texas and makes amazing #TXwine. 3. Incredible complex flavors. 4. It gets better with age.

#txwine Since #Dolcetto seems to be a theme tonight, I'll open the Cuvee 1853 from Pedernales Cellars - 70% Dolcetto with Merlot and #Teroldego making up the balance. Beautiful nose of raspberry, plum, and thyme with tea and cherry on the palate.

Well tonight I am ordering out pizza so I was looking through my stash and our new vintage 2019 Reddy Vineyards Duchman Winery Sangiovese is perfect to pair with. Very light and fruit forward will go perfectly with the tomato sauce and pepperoni. #txwine

Travel, wine, food, life, love dogs! @DeniseClarkeTX Let's just skip to the end -- showstopper! 2017 was the best vintage in Texas - no hail, no rain during harvest; long hangtime to reach ideal ripeness with grapes still on the vine. It's one of if not THE BEST Texas Tannat vintage we have made. IMHO
