Incredibly sad #Pilotwhale mass stranding on the Isle of Lewis. Experts from @Strandings BDMLR and others are on site to gain insight on why this happened.

By collating distribution data, the #JCDP can help us understand the wider impacts of events like this on populations.

The recent low tides at Camas a' Chòis have revealed some incredible life.

The definite highlight was a stranded lesser spotted catshark (Scyliorhinus canicula). He was unscathed and returned to the water- what a beautiful wee #shark !
