KISS原則、YAGNI、「壊れていないものを直すな・まだ問題になっていないのに解決しようとして頭を痛めるな」、Worse is Betterはもはや完全に無視され、過剰性能を作り込んでくださいっと言われたみたい。

Just because it's a dynamic language doesn't mean you should abuse its dynamism, when the type spec explicitly tells you not to call a function with weird variables, or at least that's my opinion.

Why are you even trying to call an internal function that accepts "non_neg_integer()" with a float and expecting it to work anyway? Such problem wouldn't have existed in static typed languages, and people are being unreasonable exactly because Elixir is a dynamic language.

That's another reason I'm looking forward to Gleam Programming Language taking off, because being statically typed, it would not only save a lot of time, but also potentially get rid of those who abuse dynamic languages' type system.
