槍の柄は断面が円形ですが、薙刀の柄は刀と同じ楕円。 全体のバランス的に柄はできるだけ細く作ります。 The handle of a spear is circular in cross section, while the handle of a naginata is oval, as is the handle of a katana. #隻狼 #SEKIRO

テーブルナイフにほんの少しだけ法具の雰囲気を合わせたイメージで作ってます。 This knife is made with the image of a table knife with just a little bit of the atmosphere of a Tokkosho.

表面の錆を落として焼入れします。 Hardening is performed once the rust is removed.

細い刀身の場合は焼刃土の有無にかかわらず、結構峰の方まで焼きが入ります。 仮にミニチュアで「糸直刃」の刃文を再現するなら、焼入れ後に研削して刃幅を詰めるのが現実的です。 If the sword blade is thin, a wide area of the blade will inevitably harden regardless of the clay application.

刃の焼入れ後に柄の「角」を焼入れ。 After hardening the blade, the tip of the handle is hardened.

ミニチュア薙刀も完成したので検証の続きです。 はたしてヤスリを鍛造したことでダマスカス模様は現れるのか。 Will the Damascus pattern be revealed by forging a file into a knife?

耐水ペーパー#1500まで研磨しました。 The surface has just been polished with #1500-grit sandpaper.

研ぎ終わって刃文を出してみました。 横方向の縞模様や、細かな斑模様など色々見られます。 Lateral stripes and fine mottled patterns can be seen on the blade.
