Our #Heritage team carried out a built heritage survey with comprehensive photographic record of a WWII pillbox in East Sussex. Located on a ridge for visibility, the pillbox is a variation of the ‘Type-28’ design with chambers for small arms & anti-tank guns. A slice of history!

Our #Heritage team carried out a programme of archaeological recording during renovation of the Grade II* Listed Hind Hotel, Wellingborough. The survey uncovered past alterations and a beam thought to be from Sir Francis Drake’s ship, the Golden Hind! 👉 bit.ly/3Cv8kUh

TEP was appointed by Sandwell Council to assess 18 wildlife sites for their Local Plan. We surveyed habitats, evaluated designations (SINC/SLINC) and worked with partners to ensure sites meet criteria. These assessments are key to maintaining and protecting local #biodiversity.

TEP’s latest article on The Use of GIS Tools in Landscape Recovery Projects has now been published in the Winter 2024 edition of Conservation Land Management (CLM) magazine. 👏 We share five GIS methods we use to support large-scale recovery projects. 🌿#GIS #Conservation

Our #Arboriculture team recently found parasitic honey fungus (Armillaria) during a #treesurvey, which was affecting several trees. Our recommendations included selective removal work; the fallen wood will contribute to the natural cycle of growth and decay in the woodland.
