I'll be honest, I kind of don't get the point of election house visits. My ex MP just dropped by and when I told him my dad was in the toilet, he said "Oh, let's not bother him then", handed me a flyer and ran to the next door. All in 15 seconds. What just happened lol

I don't get why people want election rallies and campaigning where people don't address and rebut other parties. All politics is subjective and emotion-driven. To pretend otherwise is illogical. And to believe that campaigning should just be reading policy docs at you is silly.

Last thoughts before cooling off day: the turnout at rallies suggests that, whatever the outcome, Singaporeans are not apolitical — many do believe in politics as a mobilising force for change. To end election season and decide no more of that for 5 more years would be a waste.
