to all my genealogy/family history friends: if you’re ever in NYC, you must visit The Tenement Museum!! i took the “after the famine” tour today which focused on a real immigrant family from ireland. their story was so similar to that of my 🇮🇪->boston ancestors that i teared up (1/2)
