Meet the team! Maren is a PhD student in the #Leukaemia Translational Research Team. She focuses on the role of bone marrow endothelial cells in high-risk leukaemia and hopes to pave the way for new therapeutic targets to improve the outcomes for high-risk patients ๐
To celebrate the arrival of our new #Honours students , the Telethon Kids Cancer Centre hosted a Picnic in the Park! The teams stepped away from the labs, enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch and we even snuck in a friendly game of soccer, giant jenga & connect4! #KingsPark #Honours

Congratulations to A/Prof Rishi Kotecha who has been awarded 2nd chance funding through the WA Near Miss Awards: Emerging Leaders Program. This funding, backed by the WA Governmentโs Future Health Research & Innovation Fund will be used to advance #childhoodcancer treatments ๐

Congratulations to Jessica Buck who has received important funding to establish Australia's first Indigenous #ChildhoodCancer research program. This program hopes to discover & develop new treatment strategies for Indigenous children to improve survival & minimise side effects
