At least in political discussion, I think the Tu Quoque Fallacy is the most common fallacy. I have kids. I've heard "you too" plenty. It usually indicates guilt. If you want to disagree with someone, present an argument on the merits.

Having a firm conviction that someone is wrong—even terribly wrong when the stakes are high—doesn’t rule out empathy for that person. This is probably the hardest kind of empathy, and not the kind that’s usually meant when people urge empathy as a virtue. From TEAM OF RIVALS:
