The School of Veterinary Medicine was created to address critical workforce needs in West Texas and the state. The goal was to develop a pipeline for veterinary workers to fill these gaps. I’m proud to say that we have accomplished what we set out to do. It’s incredible!

For far too long, the #Borderplex was underserved in terms of accessible, quality dental care. That changed in 2021 when we welcomed the first students to the Hunt School of Dental Medicine.   Yesterday, we celebrated another milestone: their graduation. Congrats, Class of 2025!

My prayers are with everyone affected by the devastating floods in central Texas and the Hill Country.   I offer my deepest condolences to the families and communities who have lost loved ones, and thank the brave individuals conducting search and rescue operations in the region.

Serving as your Chancellor has been the honor of a lifetime, and after 15 unforgettable years with the Texas Tech University System, I feel that it’s time for me to pass this leadership baton forward.

Among institutions of higher education, the Texas Tech University System has been a longtime leader in research and security studies, and we are excited to join the FBI in this ambitious endeavor.

For nearly 20 years, Brandon Creighton has served the people of Texas as a legislator. His tremendous track record of leadership and unwavering dedication to higher education will continue to elevate and strengthen the TTU System and serve the people of our great state and beyond.
