I LOVE people who share what’s going on in their life & projects, what they’ve been reading, and anything they find interesting. (This is your sign to post more!!)

I fear the public will never truly realize the immense damage done to our scientific research system and its consequences. A loss of ~$4.5 billion in frozen or cancelled grants with at least 148 impacted clinical trials = 138,000 patients due to be enrolled or already enrolled.

I’m on a sort of “research sabbatical”, which I had always dreamed of. But I’m stressed, because I wonder: - how do I know if I’m allocating my time right? - what’s the right split between studying new topics, fundamentals, and reviewing? - how do I measure progress? Any tips?

Lately I’ve getting more tweets on my feed with few likes from accounts I don’t follow with <10k followers (vs viral ones), and I really appreciate that

I’ll be analyzing my own blood proteomics and single cell RNA data! A lot of these tools are available to researchers but haven’t made it to the clinic. We’re working on bridging that gap and unlocking new dimensions of personalized healthcare.
