The last of our begonia blooms opened, and i think it’s safe to say it may be our favorite to date.

Our horticulture department finished up Youth Fair projects this past week, and what a way to wrap up growing projects!! Reserve Champion, 4 Best of Class, 14 blue ribbons, 5 red ribbons, and 11 white ribbons for a successful show of skills across the board.

Also, for all our new trend plant followers, stay tuned for see if we threw a variegated or sp variegated philo minima 😍 three growth spots have appeared on different plants, as we wait for the new leaves to unfurl and tell if the gene has stayed in the stem!

Another week, another sneak peek! Over the weekends, we have quite the number of petunias, roses, and more that had some early blooms yet again. After a cycle of pinching, they are ready to continue growth for our Plant Sale!

Denton County projects are READY for validation tomorrow. 33 projects from our chapter go for contest entry for the horticulture senior divison contest to be held in March, including 9 projects from our AM Animal Science class! Wish these students luck over the next few weeks!
