This month at TE we also honored Juneteenth: 1863: Emancipation Proclamation was signed, granting freedom for every American. 1865: The last of the Confederate states receive the Proclamation. Slavery is officially renounced. 2021: Juneteenth was established as a federal holiday.

Our African Heritage ERG hosted a number of events this Juneteenth. From a virtual historic tour and guest speaker to a 5k walk and a conversation on finding and owning your voice. A special thanks goes out to the ERG and all of our panelists.
