Students get a glimpse into policymaking. Civics students at Kingston HS met with Rep. Mena and Counsel Gafken of the AG’s office to discuss the passage of recent legislation the students had followed with guidance from their volunteer lobbyists- Christine Brewer and Kris Tefft.

Eight grade students met with Sen. Pedersen (D) Seattle, Prime Sponsor of SB 5078 Protecting public safety by establishing duties of firearm industry members. The students had many thoughtful questions regarding the passage of this significant firearms legislation. #TeachwithTVW
