Why is there more professional training required for Ontario teachers than for Ontario Ministers of Education who direct Ontario teachers? 🤔 #onted #onpoli

#ETFO and #OSSTF will not consent to “private mediation. We have Labour Board trained Arbitrators for that. Only an idiot would agree to a Gov cherry-picked “private mediator”. The point of a mediator is at LEAST the appearance of neutrality. Stephen Lecce

Currently @opsba has 4 tables taking strike votes. Thanking Lecce who is removing local democracy through Bill 98 is a really odd flex. While you had the MOE - it would be great to hear how he will be putting the $1200 per student back into our schools. Plans for safe schools?

Enough is enough. Stephen Lecce needs to come to the table with a fair deal for Ontario's education unions so that our kids' school year is not disrupted once again. #onpoli #onted

I would love to see some public messaging take place next week from unions to combat the false narratives being driven by Fleecy!! No more high road! We have to be vocal!! Change the narrative! #onted stop being silent and allowing the govt and public to control the narrative

Today, #OSSTF leadership voted overwhelmingly to recommend that Members enter into a proposal to resolve bargaining with the govt through a process that could include arbitration. This not a tentative agreement but clears a pathway forward for this round of bargaining. #OntEd

OSSTF/FEESO will now prepare for a membership vote that will take place through September. Approximately 60,000 education workers & secondary school teachers from across the province will have the opportunity to vote on whether they want to enter into the proposal. #OSSTF #OntEd

What he needs to know is OSSTF Communications MEMBERS will get to decide if they want this path If members say no, that pathway is off the table #democracy #stability #onted #osstf IT’S NOT A TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

It’s not a tentative agreement. Saying it is is misleading to parents and yet another slap in the face to #onted Workers - OSSTF Communications also represents other working groups - not just teachers. #onpoli

Entering into binding arbitration at this juncture would not support the students we serve in elementary and secondary schools – as binding arbitration would all but guarantee that the key issues we have brought forward at our respective bargaining tables, which are critical to

Many #osstf members likely appreciate that they're being given a choice and aren't being spoken for... We will be given more information and *then* we will decide if this will be the path we take.

Curious how many D19 members who asked for a statement from their local calling for a ceasefire were told that OSSTF doesn't comment on political issues that aren't directly related to education... 🤔

Say it with me, healthcare and #onted are provincial! Say it again for those in the back, healthcare and education are provincial! Hate the Libs all you want, but look in the mirror as you look silly when you talk stupid!!!

Staples is an American owned company. I don’t want my private and personal information in the hands of anything U.S. In no way shape or form. I don’t care who’s computer system they’ll be using. None of this sits well with me. There’s a reason Ford chose an American company.
