99% of the time when one of my HS students is on their phone in class, it’s bc their codependent parents are blowing them up. These are the *same* parents who complain about grades. Like…your kid doesn’t pay attention because YOU can’t go 5 seconds without texting them. 🙃

People will tell teachers “must be nice to have summers off” every chance they get, then post shit like this while we’re fighting for our lives against a class of 35 fifteen year olds.
