University ITE ... should be something we are proud of as a country and something that is respected like it is in other countries. Let's stand firm and stand together. The winds are strong at the moment but our roots are deep.

Decisions should be made based on evidence, after proper consultation with ITE providers and the teachers they teach, and not based on implementing changes 'as soon as possible'. Thousands of teacher training places are at stake if the DfE get this wrong, it cannot be rushed.
