RTW 2022 thread: Positives: -bands were mostly fockin tight -seated area very comfortable with a great view of both stages. Well protected from the weather -got to see some bands come back after a long hiatus, sense of nostalgia of old RTW festivals

Negatives (gonna be a long one): -starting from the top, ticket redemption was inefficient & insufficient, leading to long queues taking around 20+ mins to get in -when we got in, we expected to have missed the first 3 bands, but we managed to catch the 1st band’s last song

Negatives (cont) -stage manager didn’t enforce time limits, early bands were allowed to play overtime. Transition to next scheduled band wasn’t smooth, there were still technical issues being sorted out. Was it still a soundcheck? Idk. As at 5.30 pm, rundown delayed by 2.5 hours

Negatives (cont) -the delayed transitions made the fact of having 2 stages redundant, almost. Should have been seamless from end of set to start of next set. -technical issues, mostly sound issues. Quite a few bands suffered from this, some instruments barely audible.

Negatives (cont) -saddest of all, due to poor time mgmt, almost all bands from 5 pm onwards were forced to cut their set. Some (or most) to a measly 3 songs. Sedih la weh. Kesian gila diorg dah give their all to perform. End of review (for now) Videos coming later

Adding more negatives: -passage from stands to standing area was fucking scary. I was so scared the bridge would collapse with the amount of people on it.
