The Sand Spring Fire deployed a drone, which located the victims approximately 100 yards from the riverbank. One person managed to swim back to the shoreline. Swiftwater rescue teams from TCSO and the Sand Springs Fire Department safely rescued the remaining three individuals.

Multiple roads across Tulsa county are covered in flood water. Some roads are barricaded, such as 76th Street North between Highway 11 and North Peoria, but other roads do not have barricades. If a road is flooded, DO NOT attempt to drive through the water.

Our Swift Water Rescue Team is positioned in the flooded area of Highway 20 and Trenton near Bird Creek, ready to respond quickly if needed. Please do your part to minimize the need for their services by avoiding driving into floodwaters. #TurnAroundDontDrown

Yesterday Deputies were attempting to take Nitel Keton in to custody for a warrant out of Garfield County when he fled on foot. K9 Missy tracked the suspect to a nearby apartment, where Nitel was hiding inside. He was arrested for Obstruction and the Garfield County warrant.

Congratulations, graduates! Today, Sheriff Regalado swore in the latest class of Tulsa Tech Criminal Justice students as detention officers. Thirty-eight students graduated today, 24 of whom will immediately go to work as detention officers at the Tulsa County Jail.

On Saturday night, TCSO and our ENDUI partners held a checkpoint in Downtown Tulsa. Over the course of the checkpoint, nine drivers were arrested for driving under the influence. Efforts like this are made possible thanks to our partners at the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office.

Headed to the Courthouse next week? You'll have another way to enter on 6th Street starting at 1pm on June 9. This access will be more convenient for those parking in the south lots but is not handicap accessible. Our other entrances on Denver and the Plaza are still open also.
