The second Sunday in March triggers daylight savings time, when we set our clocks one hour ahead. It is also the best day to change the batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors - even if batteries are not dead.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Memphis Volunteer Fire Department and the Scotland County Sheriff's Department. We replaced multiple poles during the severe weather event on Friday and their assistance aided in everyone's safety. #concernforcommunity

Avoid attaching posters to utility poles. Staples, nails, tape, and various other items create safety hazards for our linemen when climbing the poles to perform maintenance. By respecting utility poles, you can help keep our communities powered and our linemen safe!
