Compared to the forestry report it appears that TC’s white oak has produced a much larger amount of acorns this year than other areas. Thank you TC students for bringing acorns to the collection center for the DOF! dwr.virginia.gov/blog/2023-acor…

Today Eco Club helped relocate many Deer Mice (even tiny babies) today from our gardens. Though we were happy to see native animals we wanted to ensure their safety out of the garden beds.

And that concludes worm composting at TC for the fall! Everyone made a counter top collection center or an actual vermiculture in-ground bin. They of course had to collect their choice wrigglers to bring home.

Terra Centre, we have collected 200 pounds of plastic which is now saved from the landfill. Keep it coming… we need 800 more pounds to save before we can melt it into our Trex Bench!
