The National TB marathon was held in Iganga district on the 16th March, as we head towards commemoration of World TB day on 25th March 2025. Raising TB awareness remains critical in Uganda, one of the countries with a high TB burden in the world.

Today the Minister of health Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng commissioned 181 Community Health Workers (CHEWS) from 91 parishes of Maracha District to take lead in health responses at community level. Health surveillance especially for cross border health risks was emphasized.

In partnership with the Kabaka Foundation, We were present at Wankulukuku grounds for the Tubere Balamu Health Camp, held on the 6th–7th May 2025. A medical team from TASO Mulago offered HIV, TB Malaria counselling, testing treatment and referral services.

National Candlelight commemorations are ongoing at the Uganda AIDS Commission in Kampala. Theme: Ending AIDS by 2030: Building Sustainable HIV response. The day began with a walk in Kampala city. Today we remember those who have succumbed to AIDS by lighting a candle.
