I fear Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦 is undermining the respect many Zimbabweans have had for him by his ongoing silence regarding the #CrimesAgainstHumanity being committed by the Mnangagwa regime against the people of #Zimbabwe

#Zimbabwe lawyers marching in Harare calling for the restoration of law and order, the rights of those arrested to be respected and for security forces not to interfere with the judiciary

Deeply saddening that the government spends tens of millions on private jet hire but couldn’t be present to evacuate areas in advance or even deal with the aftermath of #CycloneIdaiZW

My take on the prohibition- the Mnangagwa regime is desperately worried about the prospect of a repeat of November 18 2017, namely hundreds of thousands of people on the streets of Harare peacefully calling for an incompetent and corrupt leader to go. #Zimbabwe

In court the police said they didn’t have enough manpower to monitor & assist the #FreeZimbabweMarch , yet they have enough manpower to cordon off all of Harare and to prevent anyone from entering Harare . This is a fascist regime Cyril Ramaphosa 🇿🇦 EU Delegation to Zimbabwe 🇪🇺

Despite everything, #16August was a success: 1. It exposed this Rhodesian fascist regime for what it is; 2. It proved the masses are PEACEFUL—not even 1 act of violence by protestors; 3. It showed the masses are DETERMINED—thousands came out despite the courts & police brutality.

Not one car has been burnt, not one shop looted & yet innocent people, including women, sitting down, weaponless, have been brutally assaulted by Police in Harare today. Its happened because the international community hasnt held the Mnangagwa regime to account & it feels immune.

This is LOW! Zimbabwe Republic Police tear gassed ICRC members who were attending to injured protestors. This regime has no moral compass. #FreeZimbabweMarch #FreeZimbabweCampaign #16August

The fact that the protestors remained totally peaceful today despite extreme provocation and brutality by the police means there can be no justification for the police banning the marches planned for next week in Bulawayo, Masvingo, Gweru and Mutare. #FreeZimbabweCampaign

My cousin Dean has been a firefighter for over 17 years. Over the weekend he was out on a run in Balmoral and found this ringtail possum in the middle of the road. As he got closer the little guy ran up his leg seeking shelter from the smoke and flames
