Congratulations to Abe Walling who won the IHSAA Mental Attitude Award for Class 5A. Army Football is getting a great football player, but an even better young man.

Congratulations to senior Abe Walling, who received the Class 5A Phil Eskew Mental Attitude Award last night. The IHSAA's highest individual honor is given based on scholarship, mental attitude and athletic success. He is our third football winner and 10th overall.

Dragon Football has heavy hearts today. LB Coach James Evans passed away last night after a long battle with cancer. James has been with me all 13 years here. He’s family. We are saddened by his passing but grateful for the time we had with him. Our prayers are with his family.

We have heavy hearts today as we remember James Evans, a longtime Dragons football assistant coach, who passed away Jan. 8. James was a part of multiple championship staffs at NPHS, Warren Central and Lawrence Central. We offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends.
