Are you a perfume obsessive who has always been frustrated that Luca Turin’s original 1994 guide was (1) in French, and (2) out of print? Merry Christmas, then. PERFUMES : PARFUMS LE GUIDE 1994 amazon.com/dp/9949015251/…

Fumeheads! An essential work in the canon of perfume writing is back in print, now translated into English. Tania Sanchez has brought Luca Turin's genre-creating Parfums le Guide back to the land of the living, and my nose, brain and heart are grateful. perfumestheguide.com/post/parfums-l…

It has been brought to my attention that now is the time for you to indulge in your most antisocial perfume. SPLASH IT ON ALL OVER.

Just a reminder. People, don’t play social media games based on publicly posting answers to your bank’s security questions.

I once tried this when I lived in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. After a few days, when the starter was nice and bubbly, we had to admit it smelled like a dead man wrapped in cheese. We continued to buy yeast.

Once a month, I download an audiobook for my daughter, to give my bedtime reading voice a rest and to enjoy listening to a good story myself. We are obsessed with the stories of Kate DiCamillo, starting with The Tale of Despereaux. Her books are lean, subtle, and as odd as life.

I love adobo, ok? But 4 versions? Lechon is probably nicer when you don’t have to hear your uncles killing the pig. But pancit and lumpia are boring versions of standard SE Asian dishes. Arroz caldo is for when you’re sick. Who pours cola on rice? And they left out the bibingka.

Please watch this doc from Queens Hospital explain how to relieve respiratory symptoms. For last 2 weeks I've had all symptoms of C19 (tho haven't been tested) & did this on doc husband's advice. I'm fully recovered & technique helped a lot. youtu.be/HwLzAdriec0 via YouTube

“Herd immunity” is the percentage of people who must be vaccinated to prevent outbreaks. Allowing a disease to spread unchecked through a population with no immunity is the opposite of this. Surely they mean “natural selection” but don’t like to say so.
