Another mass expulsion order has just been issued by the Israeli army for new areas of Gaza City. Orders have been intensifying in the recent days, in a clear attempt to depopulate the city and concentrate further the Palestinian population in the unlivable al-Mawasi area.

A deliberate political decision by the Israeli government is blocking the supply of fuel necessary to meet the needs of the civilian population. Blocking fuel violates Israel’s obligations under Israeli law and IHL, and breaches provisional measures issued by the ICJ.

The Israeli army issued another mass forcible displacement order today for neighborhoods in northern Gaza to Al Mawasi. Nowhere is safe from attack & resources for basic survival don't exist anywhere. The army warns it will also advance westward into central Gaza City. 🧵

It's hard to think of a model for distribution of food that would be more dehumanizing & inefficient. Every deadly day that passes, it's more & more clear the goal is to divert int'l criticism while continuing to deprive Palestinians of what they need to survive.

Before this latest, punitive displacement order, the UN estimated that 85% of Gaza is subject to displacement orders or declared no-go zones by the Israeli army. An attempt to concentrate 2 million people into 15% of the territory, w/an excuse to attack those who remain in place.
