Creative Scotland to reopen the Open Fund for Individuals after the Scottish government confirmed that £6.6m would be released as promised. Iain Munro: "“We are sure today’s confirmation of the release of this funding will be welcomed by the creative community." More soon.

The creative unions rally at Holyrood will proceed tomorrow, 12:30. While we are happy to hear @ScotGov say they will work to reinstate Creative Scotland Open Fund for Individuals, this is the third time the money has been promised this sitting of parliament. They must now deliver.

We are delighted to announce Linda McLean Linda McLean has won the Hector McMillan Award for Best Scottish Play, 2023 for Castle Lennox, staged by Lung Ha Theatre Company & The Lyceum. The award will be presented at our SSP@50 Conference in November. Congratulations, Linda!

Great review. I saw this tonight and this play really is direct glare in the eye by Jennifer Adam about consent, sexual assault and gender inequality in a secondary school with rapid live action engaging dialogue and acting with talent, nuance, humour and sensitivity. 👏 👏👏👏
