Many thanks to all those who attended our Live Theatre Needs Living Playwrights events yesterday and today. We’ll be communicating with attendees and more widely about the conversations and the actions coming out of these meetings: stay tuned.

At some point, the Scottish Government is going to have to explain the logic of putting the entire arts sector at risk, and turning its back on creative industries which support more than 80,000 jobs & generate more than £5 billion for the economy. How do they not get it?

BREAKING: John Swinney has pledged money to continue Creative Scotland's open fund after a major row with artists. Story to follow.

NEW: First Minister John Swinney says a review of Creative Scotland will be carried out, with money provided for the Open Fund to remain in place.

Creative Scotland to reopen the Open Fund for Individuals after the Scottish government confirmed that £6.6m would be released as promised. Iain Munro: "“We are sure today’s confirmation of the release of this funding will be welcomed by the creative community." More soon.

The creative unions rally at Holyrood will proceed tomorrow, 12:30. While we are happy to hear @ScotGov say they will work to reinstate Creative Scotland Open Fund for Individuals, this is the third time the money has been promised this sitting of parliament. They must now deliver.

Great review. I saw this tonight and this play really is direct glare in the eye by Jennifer Adam about consent, sexual assault and gender inequality in a secondary school with rapid live action engaging dialogue and acting with talent, nuance, humour and sensitivity. 👏 👏👏👏
