Got some big wind gusts through the palm trees on St. Petersburg Tampa Bay about 30 minutes ago.

One final cluster of some rain and wind will move through Tampa Bay between now and 730 pm. You can see the spiral banding around our gulf low pressure area. No severe winds expected.

Wind gusts over 40 mph with these storms approaching Tampa Bay by 630 pm.

Nice and dry today- rain chances return Tuesday

Made my phone cover a picture from hurricane Helene’s record breaking storm surge on Tampa Bay- highest surge in 103 years. We also had gusts to 82 mph at St. Petersburg airport. The highest of my life until Milton’s 100 plus mph 2 weeks later.
