Small girl this morning (absolute panic): Mum, I DEFINITELY need a costume TODAY.
I realise that this has nothing to do with being a #workingmum but it DEFINITELY feels like it does.

Two hours of sleep (approximately) because late finish at work & poorly small boy through the night. Three cups of tea, two cups of coffee & two diet cokes aren’t cutting it. I may need to go on a hunt for chocolate-covered espresso beans before press night tonight. #workingmum

Our next author highlight for the Stratford Literary Festival is for Tamara Harvey and Alice Farnham!! In two weeks time, Tamara and Alice will be talking about smashing the glass ceiling in their respective fields. Pick up a copy of Alice’s book from our festival display 🎵

Awards ceremonies can, of course, be very jolly but I can’t help wishing they could take place not on a Sunday and not at bedtime stories time, particularly when Bilbo & his companions have just left Beorn & are heading for Mirkwood. #workingmum

I’ve taken 2.5 days off this Easter holidays and feel spectacularly guilty in both directions: Bad Mum for not taking more time off; Bad Co-Artistic Director for taking so much time off. The one thing I can definitely claim I’m doing spectacularly well is guilt. #workingmum
