No one talks about the garbage island in the Pacific. But it’s larger than France, Germany, and Spain combined. And it’s leaking toxic chemicals into the fish you eat. Here’s what you were never told about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch:

Two new variants are competing for dominance: NB.1.8.1 and XFG. We recently nicknamed NB.1.8.1 "Nimbus", and it's pretty clear that XFG deserves a nickname as well. Keeping with the meteorological theme, XFG = "Stratus". Here's some more info about Nimbus and Stratus. 🧵 1/

A major new review from Yale (Moen, Baker, Iwasaki, 2025) offers the most comprehensive picture yet of what SARS-CoV-2 does to the nervous system. The conclusion is stark: Long COVID is a chronic neuroimmune disorder affecting brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves.🧵

I was wondering why so much money is invested in AI which is obviously not yet even close to intelligence? The name is misleading. Now realized it is very powerful instrument to manipulate public opinion. Lots of people will blindly trust to Grok and its analogues.

The stratosphere remains relatively wet following the 2022 Tonga volcano. This unprecedented amount of water-vapor, injected by Tonga, continues to influence earth's climate in unprecedented ways - for H2O is earth's most powerful greenhouse gas.

The main problem of modern civillization which might lead to collapse is low average level of education. It is impossible to address all current challenges if people do not understand. As a whole, humans are still not intelligent.

New research reveals that #COVID19 can quietly damage blood vessels and disrupt red blood cell production - even in people with absolutely no symptoms. This was uncovered using a tool called an epigenetic liquid biopsy, which tracks where tiny fragments of DNA in your blood

University education also cost 0$ So nice to live in Sweden. I do appreciate free education. Add about very good quality. It is not a privilege but urgent need of society to educate as many as possible. Quality of life in a society is related to average level of education.

Agressive anti- science is on the rise globally. It is very dangerous trend for survival of humans on this planet. Science is not perfect and sometimes wrong. But stop to follow science and we are all doomed.

We warned about thrombotic endothelialitis, microclotting and platelet hyper-activation since the start of the pandemic. We provided the evidence: look in the blood. If you had Covid, you are at risk. With every new infection you are at risk to develop LongCOVID.

Good question. Why not Elon Musk observatory, research lab or fellowships for young scientists? Butvwe have tesla car in space as a monument to his achievements.

Distopian. With journals adding AI to select papers for publication the cycle will be closed. AI generated papers reviewed and published by AI and read only by AI to generate more papers. Few human submissions will be lost in the ocean of AI generated spam. End of Science.
