Nothing happens from one person. Someone invented the engine, and the steering wheel. Someone invented a brake. Someone else invented a windshield and a windshield wiper. A tweak of a thing that moves us forward

Some inventions aren’t about being bigger or faster. Someone invented a seatbelt. Someone invented traffic signals. Someone invented car seats to protect the most fragile passengers, so moving forward doesn’t leave people behind

Think of all the people who made a wheel and a seatbelt. Isn’t it weird that one space jerk thinks HE is the one changing the world? Doesn’t he know how many smart people it took for him to be a big dumb showboat? “Born on third base, acting like he’s hit a homer” as Jean says

Nobody does anything great alone. What if the person to invent that next tweak forward can’t afford to go to school, or can’t afford to just sit and think about smart stuff? What if they have a toothache that day, and can’t afford to see a dentist? What if we invested in that?

I bet this comes in handy one day when we’re all being hilarious
