30+ Jackdaws in front of Lapwing hide looking for insects amongst the daisies.
Finally, other random insects that caught my eye at #uptonwarren Flashes today - Phyllobius pomaceus, Rhagio scolopaceus, Cantharis pellucida & Common Scorpionfly. All bar the last ID'd (hopefully correctly) via on-line searching, so happy to be corrected if needed.
One form of Blue-tailed Damselfly I've been trying to catch up with for a good while now on the reserve : 'f. Violacea'. (photo. doesn't do it's colour justice ) taken earlier this week. #uptonwarren
A rare occasions where I dusted off my camera to take rubbish photos of todays Black Tern at Moors #uptonwarren plus the Peregrine which saw it off for a while. Can’t beat watching birds through a good pair of bins & storing the images in your minds eye (wanna buy a camera!?)

Spent as much time looking at insects as birds at #uptonwarren Flashes this afternoon. Six species of Odonata seen - Banded & Beautiful Demoiselle, Large Red, Azure*, Common Blue & Blue-tailed Damselfly*.
Top blurred photo of the Black Tern at Moors #uptonwarren just appears to have gone flushed by a Peregrine.
Day-flying moths at #uptonwarren Flashes this p.m. - Plum Tortrix, Glyphipterix simpliciella (Cocksfoot Moth)[probably] & Adella croesella. The last is new for me & also appears to be a new addition to the Upton list (but has probably been seen many times, just not reported!)

Bird of the day for me at #uptonwarren was a Redshank at the Moors Pool briefly at noon. Other highlights from 60 species seen were 2 Ringed Plover at the Flashes and a singing Lesser Whitethroat at the Sailing Pool. No sign of the Black Tern or Jack Snipe.Worcester Birding
