Finally, other random insects that caught my eye at Flashes today - Phyllobius pomaceus, Rhagio scolopaceus, Cantharis pellucida & Common Scorpionfly. All bar the last ID'd (hopefully correctly) via on-line searching, so happy to be corrected if needed.

One form of Blue-tailed Damselfly I've been trying to catch up with for a good while now on the reserve : 'f. Violacea'. (photo. doesn't do it's colour justice ) taken earlier this week.

A rare occasions where I dusted off my camera to take rubbish photos of todays Black Tern at Moors plus the Peregrine which saw it off for a while. Can’t beat watching birds through a good pair of bins & storing the images in your minds eye (wanna buy a camera!?)

Day-flying moths at Flashes this p.m. - Plum Tortrix, Glyphipterix simpliciella (Cocksfoot Moth)[probably] & Adella croesella. The last is new for me & also appears to be a new addition to the Upton list (but has probably been seen many times, just not reported!)
