Look at these photos. The man in the orange boilersuit is my dad, supervising the extension of the Royal Hotel in Stromness. This building had the excavation and removal of rock to build the extension at the back. These images were taken many years ago.

Can't believe someone is planning an absolute monstrosity right in the centre of my home town of in ! Why would anyone want to build something like this in such a beautiful historic town (And no, that's not half finished scaffolding that's the actual design! 😭)

Today I had two groups of mostly Americans at the Ring of Brodgar and Stromness. They were off the Cruise Ship Viking Saturn and the weather was a bit damp in the morning, however it dried up later on.
