Couldn't have had a much better end to a Spurn birding tour with a Great Snipe! Lifer! Amazing find by Jacob Spinks. Spotted Flycatcher, Ruff, Tree Pipit and Whinchat all seen along the way across the Spurn area. Spurn Bird Observatory Yorkshire Wildlife Trust

A fairly quiet day until Jacob Spinks finds this brilliant Great Snipe at the Warren! Nice views of it feeding on the edge of a small scrape in Clubleys Field.

Nice to be onsite Spurn Bird Observatory when a good bird turns up...
Great Snipe found by Jacob Spinks at Clubleys / Warren, was probably not one that I expected when I started my wanderings at 7am today....

The male Red-backed Shrike is still present in the Triangle, last seen flying to the hedge by Rose Cottage.
Spotted Flycatcher at Kew and Pied Flycatcher at the Warren.

Couldn't resist second helpings of the Great Snipe in Clubleys Field at Spurn today, showing very well while foraging around the same area as yesterday and unsurprisingly drawing in quite a crowd. Spurn Bird Observatory
