This is NOT how pollinators should be welcomed into Spring. Just yesterday morning dandelions, lesser celandines & sow-thistles along this street were supporting solitary bees, bumblebees & hoverflies. Now all mown & lifeless.

Even our urban soil is a seed bank. There’s not always a need to sow wildflowers, sometimes we can just #saynotothemow and see what happens. Wild basil popped up this year along with white campion. Let a little patch of grass grow long and see what pops up! #urbanmeadow
